Tirupati. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the custodian of Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple, has banned political and hate speeches in Tirumala.

TTD said in a post on social media on Saturday that the decision has been taken in view of recent incidents in which some people, including politicians, made political or inflammatory statements in front of the media near the temple premises after darshan, thereby disturbing spiritual peace. .

It urged all visitors to respect the decision and warned of legal action against violators. The Board stressed its commitment to preserve the divine and serene environment of Tirumala.

Former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh L.V. Subrahmanyam pointed out that this rule has been in place for a long time and there have been many instances where violators have been punished. Subramaniam has also served as the executive officer of TTD.
