This week, an agreement was signed between France Judo and its president, Stéphane Nomis, and McDonald’s France, in the person of Amélie Duclos “chief people officer” of the American fast-food chain in our country.
What are the objectives of this agreement? For McDonald’s France, it will be a question of guaranteeing simplified contact between judo teachers – licensed, qualified and holders of a professional card – and the restaurants under the brand. These part-time teachers will be able to benefit from part-time work in a brand restaurant, with flexible hours adapted to their constraints with a system of “possible planning slots”. Likewise, McDonald’s is committed to relaying their recruitment needs to local clubs and providing them with various means of communication.
Thus, Amélie Duclos explains that “This merger marks an important step in our commitment to sport and professional integration. As a responsible company, we are convinced that Judo conveys essential values such as surpassing oneself, respect for others and solidarity, which are also ours. This is why we wanted to support Judo teachers by offering them new job prospects.»
For his part, Stéphane Nomis explains “that he is It is currently difficult for a judo teacher to live solely from his passion. This charter of commitment with McDonald’s France will help improve their working conditions by offering them easier access to additional jobs which will strengthen their income. Supporting and accompanying our stakeholders remains a fundamental priority for us in this Olympiad and this commitment with McDonald’s France constitutes a first step. »
