Alejandro Davidovich moves his bench: Mantilla and David Sánchez will be his coaches in 2025

The most significant movement on the benches of Spanish men’s tennis has occurred with Alejandro Davidovich. Ranked 61st in the ATP ranking at 25 years old, the Andalusian tennis player wants to relaunch his career next season after an irregular 2024 in terms of results. His best performance was the fourth place at the Dubai Open 500.

Davidovich, as MARCA has learned, has stopped working with Fernando Verdasco from Madrid and has placed himself under the orders of Félix Mantilla and David Sánchez. Both already have extensive experience as coaches.

Mantilla, who won 10 titles as a racket professional, He was previously with Aleksandar Dolgopolov, Lucas Pouille and Roberto Bautista. In between, he traveled to Australia to work for the country’s tennis federation.

Sánchez, for his part, was crowned in two ATP tournaments and since hanging up his racket he has gained experience mentoring Verdasco’s career. He already started with Davidovich at the end of last year and he will be the one who travels to the first two tournaments of 2025: Hong Kong and the Australian Open.
