Alimerka OCB receives Movistar Estudiantes

Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto returns to Pumarín after two away games that ended with victory in Valladolid and defeat in Burgos against Ureta Tizona to face one of the favorites for promotion: Movistar Estudiantes.

Tomorrow (12:30 p.m., LaLiga+) will also mean the return to the competition after the first break of the season due to international commitments for which the two teams have had enough time to face the clash and recover those injured. In the case of Oviedo Baloncesto, Francisco Amarante, who played two games with Portugal, rejoined the group at the beginning of the week and only Robert Cosialls will be absent, still suffering from the muscle injury that has kept him off the court for three weeks.

A complicated match between two teams that met in the preseason and that ended with a resounding victory for Pedro Rivero’s team, confirming even then the great wardrobe of talent that the student team possesses. What to do against that? The OCB has carefully prepared the match during the week focused on minimizing the rival’s strengths and trying to take advantage of their energy and mobility.

Once again, the rebound in both rings, the good defensive work and the success that is being denied at the beginning of the season will be key to being in the game and, why not, causing the surprise like a year ago at WiZink. In addition, a full Pumarín (there are barely 20 tickets on sale) will ensure encouragement for Javi Rodríguez’s men who face a December with seven games including the double commitment against Real Betis – next Friday the 6th in the League and on the 23rd in the Cup quarterfinals : Tickets are on sale here.
