A New Vision for french Badminton: The Ambitions Badminton Platform
Fellow badminton enthusiasts,
The upcoming Federal Elective General Assembly, scheduled from December 9th to 14th, 2024, marks a pivotal moment for our sport. This assembly will determine the leadership that will guide the French Badminton Federation (FFBaD) for the next four years.
In line with the Sports Law of march 2nd, 2022, clubs now play a more active role in this election. During the FFBaD General Assembly on March 2nd, 2024, we decided to distribute voting power equitably: 50% to clubs, 30% to leagues, and 20% to departmental committees (only expressed votes will be counted for majority calculation).
My dedication to French badminton spans over three decades. Since joining the FFBaD in 1991, I’ve held various positions, including club president, departmental committee secretary, and organizer of the Orléans Masters with CLTO Badminton. As April 2022, I’ve served on the ffbad Executive Committee.
Following the challenges faced by the current team, I stepped forward to fill the vacant treasurer position. My commitment is to restore the FFBaD’s financial stability, a goal we are well on track to achieve by the end of 2024.
The “ambitions Badminton” team comprises passionate and dedicated individuals with extensive experience in badminton at both local and national levels. Their expertise and commitment are invaluable assets to our federation.
Our team embodies the core values of the FFBaD: humanity, ethics, and dynamism. We aim to revitalize the federation, restoring its prestige and refocusing it on its territories, aligning it with the needs and aspirations of its members.
For several weeks, we have been actively engaging with territories thru thematic working groups, assessing the current situation, identifying key challenges, and proposing innovative solutions. This comprehensive approach will inform our future plans.
The coming years are crucial for transforming the FFBaD. We are committed to making strategic and structural decisions while ensuring responsible financial management. “Ambitions badminton” will introduce notable innovations in governance practices and encourage the involvement of new talent. We firmly believe that renewing our practices and engaging motivated and skilled individuals will lead our federation towards a prosperous and dynamic future.
We will strengthen our presence on the ground, supporting local initiatives and collaborating closely with clubs, leagues, and departmental committees. our goal is to create a more inclusive and participatory federation where every voice matters and every member feels valued.
Our ambition is to build a strong, innovative, and future-oriented federation while remaining true to our values of respect, solidarity, and camaraderie. We invite you to support our vision and actively participate in this crucial election. Every vote counts in electing the new leadership team.
Together, let’s make badminton an even greater and more accessible sport for all.

This assembly isn’t simply about choosing new leadership; it’s about collectively envisioning the future we want for French Badminton. What kind of platform do we want to build?
