AustraliaThe Tennis Association said today that Australian tennis star Neale Fraser, who won 19 Grand Slam gold cups in his career, passed away at the age of 91. After the news came out, all parties expressed their condolences.

Agence France-Presse reports that Friese is a former world champion who won three Grand Slam men’s singles championships, including the 1960WimbledonChampionship (Wimbledon), and 16 Grand Slam doubles gold cups.


In 1959, Friese won three championship trophies in the men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles at the US National Championships, and led Australia to win the Davis Cup. The US National Tennis Championships is the predecessor of the current tennis event “US Open” (US Open).

Tennis Australia quoted former Australian player Pat Cash, who won the Wimbledon men’s singles championship, as saying: “He was like a father to me. He just knew how to make you feel valued. , and how to get the best out of you.”

Australian tennis legend Rod Laver is atsocial mediaX posted a tribute to Fraser, calling him “my beloved friend and fellow left-hander.”

Laver had lost to Friese in the Wimbledon and US Open championships in the past.
