Starting in January, passengers with electronic tickets for trenitalia regional trains will enjoy a new level of convenience: automatic refunds for delays exceeding 60 minutes. This means no more hassle with paperwork or requests – compensation will be directly credited to the card used for purchase within 30 days of travel.
This policy applies to a range of delay scenarios, including cancellations, interruptions, and unforeseen delays exceeding 60 minutes. The compensation amount varies based on the delay duration and ticket price, with a minimum threshold of 4 euros.
Passengers can easily verify their eligibility for compensation on the Trenitalia website by entering their ticket code and issue date.
Frecciarossa 1000: Conquering New Frontiers
Beyond regional improvements, Trenitalia is also unveiling the Frecciarossa 1000, a revolutionary high-speed train designed to conquer even the most challenging environments.This cutting-edge train, showcased at the prestigious Innotrans Berlin fair, boasts a suite of technological advancements that enable it to withstand extreme climates, including scorching temperatures, monsoons, and sandstorms.
