Back, LeBron James explains his absence

The Lakers were in tough shape before challenging the Grizzlies. Following a series of four defeats in five games, the Angelinos were keen to get their heads above water and this was achieved with a victory against Memphis (116-110). In addition to the victory, JJ Redick was able to find LeBron James and he is clearly not going to shy away from his pleasure.

Absent for two games between a foot problem and personal concerns, LeBron James made his comeback to challenge the Grizzlies, the 2th best team in the West.

For the occasion – or perhaps because the Lakers could no longer put one foot in front of the other – JJ Redick released his fifth starting five different in… five matches.

A remodeling that paid off since the Lakers won, 116-110, after a controlled first half and a big Anthony Davis with 40 points.

For his part, LeBron James did not have the match of the century with 18 points (7/17 shooting and 3.6 from distance), 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

After the meeting, number 23 spoke about his absence. If BronBron could play both games against Portland and Minnesota, it would not have been the right decision.

“If it was up to me, I would have played against Portland and it would have been difficult to keep me out of the Minnesota game, but I have a team working in my best interest. I have to listen to them.

This gave me the opportunity to take several days to recharge physically and mentally for tonight’s game. And it worked.”

– LeBron James

LeBron James seems to have arrived at the age of reason, he who will celebrate his 40th birthday at the end of the month.
