Three clubs achieved a double each in the Madagascar youth championship this weekend at the gymnasium of the National Sports Academy in Ampefiloha. MB2ALL played in five finals and won two titles. In the U17 boys, Irina Razakasoavina defeated Mahefa Zarafitiavana of SCI Itaosy by 2 sets to 0 (21/17, 21/20). And among the U11 boys, Tsiorintsoa Razakasoavina snatched the coronation by beating Jonathan Rakotomalala of SCI Itaosy in the final (2-1). The CBFJ of Ambohitrimanjaka also won two coronations out of four contested finals. Christina Rakotonirina beat Brenda Fanomezantsoa of CBFJ in the final duel (2-0) among the U13 girls. And in the U9 boys category, Liantsoa Rakotondravelo won the national title. The Antsirabe FBCA also won two titles out of three finals.
Among the U15 boys, Jonathan Rakotoharinivo won against Nithael Andrianirina of Saint Joseph Mahamasina (2-1). And among the U11 girls, Misaina Natolojanahary defeated Valisoa Randriamananjara of SCI Itaosy (2-1). Three other clubs won a title each. VTTK Ivato’s Vetsoniaa Love Wave is sacred among the U17 girls. The U15 girls’ title went to Miahy Andriamaherizo of St Joseph Mahamasina and the U13 boys’ title went to Sanda Randriamananjara of SCI Itaosy.
Final update on the national youth summit. The 2024 version of the senior national championship will take place in mid-January.
