Badminton talent coach on a full-time basis is wanted

Become a full-time talent coach in badminton – and get a unique chance to make a difference and shape talent development in Southern Jutland.

Are you passionate about badminton and passionate about developing young talents in attractive youth environments? Do you want to be a key player in a ground-breaking project that strengthens talent development and cooperation across clubs, municipalities and associations? Then this newly created position as Talent Trainer in Southern Jutland is your chance to make a difference!

About the position
As a Talent coach, you will be at the forefront of developing strong club and talent environments in Haderslev, Aabenraa and Dybbøl Badminton Club. You will be a key figure in ensuring the clubs growth through quality youth and talent training as well as promoting cooperation across the region. Your work will also include establishing a solid talent transition program for Badminton Denmark’s Talentcenter South and strengthening coaching skills in the badminton clubs in Southern Jutland.

Your main areas of responsibility:

  • Training: Create attractive and developing club training environments for children and young players at different levels and through joint training across the board.
  • Talent development: Establish a strong transition program that lifts players from club level to Talentcenter Syd.
  • Club development: Help the clubs strengthen their sporting setup, including strategic partnerships with the municipalities.
  • Coach development: Be a mentor and sparring partner for other coaches and build networks that strengthen the entire region’s training environment.
  • Innovative measures: Plan and execute school courses and other initiatives that can make badminton even more accessible and attractive.

We are looking for you who:

  • Has solid experience as a badminton coach for youth players at various levels
  • Has completed DGI and Badminton Denmark’s Coaching Course 1-3. And are starting or starting and completing Talent Coach Training Part 1 in season 25/26. Other relevant sporting background is also an advantage.
  • Has insight into talent development from elite municipalities, confederations or Team Denmark.
  • Is familiar with working in voluntary, politically led organisations.
  • Is a strong communicator with good pedagogical skills.

We offer:

  • An appointment in a joint project between the badminton clubs Haderslev, Dybbøl and Aabenraa, the municipalities: Haderslev, Sønderborg and Aabenraa, Badminton Denmark and Team Denmark.
  • A dynamic workplace with working hours that you yourself help to plan.
  • Project employment of 37 hours per week for two years with the possibility of extension.
  • Access to office facilities in Talentcenter Haderslev and Aabenraa.
  • Company car available during working hours (B driving license required).
  • Salary according to qualifications with a focus on attractive conditions for professional trainers.
  • A day-to-day management and overall steering group to set direction and goals for the project.
