The Spanish rider, eight-time world champion back at the forefront this season, compared his new arrival at Ducati with that of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid last summer. Because with or facing him next season, he will find Francesco Bagnaia, already a double world champion (2022, 2023) on this bike.
“Bagnaia is Vinicius, I am Mbappé, but everything can change,” he said in the Spanish podcast “El Cafelito”. “Vinicius is the one who is in place, he is the reference. Mbappé therefore needs time to adapt. In a year, maybe that will change. Next winter, we will talk about Mbappé and Vinicius, and where they are,” continued the Spanish pilot.
