Young Brazilian StrikerS Future Lies Outside Catalonia
Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly decided that Vitor Roque’s future doesn’t lie at Camp Nou. According to Spanish sports daily ”Sport,” the Catalan club intends to sell the promising striker, currently on loan at Real Betis, also based in Spain.
Roque’s loan agreement with Betis includes an option for a one-year extension, adn also a €25 million (approximately R$160 million) buyout clause for 80% of the player’s economic rights. However, “Sport” suggests that this deal is financially unfeasible for Betis.
The Seville-based club is reportedly exploring the possibility of involving a third party in the transfer to share the profits with barcelona. Experts predict that negotiations for Roque’s departure will likely take place during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Roberto Carlos: It’s a tough situation. Roque is undeniably talented, but football is a business, and sometimes these decisions, as challenging as they are, must be made. Barcelona has a history of nurturing young talent, but they also need to consider their long-term goals and financial sustainability.

Betis reportedly wants to make the loan permanent but find the €25 million buyout clause a stumbling block. Do you see a scenario where they can work out a deal with Barcelona?
Roberto Carlos: It’s going to be tricky. Betis is not a financially powerful club. They might explore options like involving a third party to share the cost, but it’s a complex negotiation. If a suitable solution can’t be reached, Roque will need to find a new club ready to invest in his development.
