Piedmontese baseball on display at the Hotel Modo in Vercelli where the annual FIBS Piemonte Baseball Softball Piemonte Awards ceremony was held.
The 2024 edition of Baseball Softball Piemonte Awardsthe event organized by the Regional Committee of FIBS Piedmontwhich took place yesterday in the Conference Room of Hotel Mode of Vercelli saw the award ceremony of the teams, players, clubs and technicians who distinguished themselves during the course of the sports season. In detail, awards were given to the youth baseball and softball teams that won the regional title, the teams that participated in the national finals and those that won the Piedmont Cuptogether with the athletes, coaches and managers who, always during the sports season, wore the shirt of Italian national teamrepresenting Piedmont in national competitions.
The awards ceremony saw the presence of Mayor of Vercelli, the lawyer Roberto Schedaof the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Sport, doctor Domenico Sabatinoof the President of CONI Piedmont, Fabio Mossinoof the Federal Councilor of FIBS, Marco Mannucci and the President of the Piedmont Regional Committee, Sabrina Olivero. The event availed itself of the collaboration of the company Baseball Softball Vercelliwho helped the Regional Committee in organizing the event.
In detail the Defender Award 2024 was delivered toAvigliana Beesa company awarded for the results obtained at the end of the regional events. Particular attention was given to the inclusive project of Grizzlies Torino 48 in collaboration with the ASL Turin for children with autism spectrum syndrome. Two historical figures of Piedmontese baseball and softball were also remembered, Nadia Conti and Ernesto Wong and they were delivered Certificates of Merit all’Avigliana Rebels for promotion to Serie A and others JFK Baseball Mondovì for promotion to Serie B. Various prizes awarded for Regions Tournamentwhich was staged in June, with a Special Prize to journalists Alma Brunetto by La Stampa ed Enrico Capello of Tuttosport who, thanks to their work, supported and highlighted the activities of the FIBS Piedmont Regional Committee.
