Stopped for over two years, Paul Millsap has decided to announce his retirement from basketball. After 16 seasons in the NBA and four call-ups to the all-star game, a career is coming to an end which, from the 47th choice in the 2006 draft, led him to be one of the most appreciated and esteemed players of the last decade.
Paul Millsap’s journey in the NBA began far from the hype and attention of the media and fans, because the choice with which Utah selected him in the 2006 draft, 47th overall, did not foreshadow what would follow. The winger originally from Louisiana, in fact, would later build a career well beyond initial expectations, culminating with four calls to the All-Star Game and closing in 2022 at an average of 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Now, after more than two years of substantial inactivity, Millsap, who will turn forty next February, has decided to officially say enough is enough.
