After last Sunday’s not exactly brilliant performance (indeed let’s say forgettable) Vela returns to its walls today where at 6.30 pm they will have to face CMB Carrara, a classic mid-table team capable of holding their own against any opponent but, obviously, with its already known limitations. And it is precisely for this reason that Bonuccelli’s men will take to the parquet with good intentions and with the serious hope of success. The preparation has been intense and the same players as the last two matches played are expected on the pitch, including Albizzi who is determined to forget the miserable 3 points from six days ago and go back to being the great scorer he is. He hopes so and, logically, the Viareggio public hopes so. The CMB is a tough nut to crack but Vela can do it, as can be understood very well from the expressions and smiles of those who will be on stage.
In the women’s Serie C, the Viareggio Women’s Basketball team aims to reverse the negative trend: on the 9th first leg, the Viareggio women’s basketball team will take the field at the Grosseto sports hall against Gea. Tap-off today at 6pm (referee Abdul Mumin from Grosseto).
Advance instead in the 10th of Serie C for Versilia, engaged on the Sport Pisa Ies field with whom they are tied in the standings at 6.
