A New Chapter for Bcc Romagnolo: Celebrating Success and Embracing Change
Bcc Romagnolo concludes a prosperous year,marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. After 27 years of dedicated service, Daniele Bagni, the long-standing director general, will be passing the torch to Fausto Poggioli on January 1st.
Bagni’s journey began in 1983 at Credito Italiano in Cesena, where he steadily climbed the ranks, taking on increasingly responsible roles in Forlì and Faenza. In 1998, he transitioned to the cooperative banking sector as vice director of Banca di Cesena, a position he held until October 1, 2014, when he assumed the role of director general at Bcc di Gatteo. The merger of Bcc di Gatteo and Banca di Cesena in 2016 gave rise to the present-day Bcc Romagnolo.
Reflecting on his career, Bagni expressed immense satisfaction, highlighting the continuous growth, challenges, and innovations he experienced. He emphasized his commitment to serving the community with passion, obligation, and dedication.
Bcc romagnolo has achieved impressive results in 2024. as of September 2024, total deposits reached €1.63 billion,representing a 4.4% increase from December 2023. Loans also saw growth, reaching €608.5 million,a 1.25% rise compared to the end of 2023. With a net profit of €9.1 million recorded at the end of September, the bank is well-positioned for further financial stability.
Starting January 1, 2025, Bagni will dedicate his time to personal pursuits, including his passion for competitive archery, his family, and his wife Antonella, along with their two beloved grandchildren, Celeste and Diego.
Taking the helm as the new director general of Bcc Romagnolo is Fausto Poggioli, a seasoned banking professional with a wealth of experience. Holding an economics and commerce degree from the University of Bologna, Poggioli began his career in 1989 at Banca Popolare di Cesena (now Bper). In the early 1990s, he joined Cassa di Risparmio delle Provincie Lombarde, working in both Milan and Forlì. His career path continued with Banca Intesa (2001-2007) before he assumed the role of director of buisness at Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì and della romagna, and later at Cassa di Risparmio di Bologna.
In 2014, Poggioli entered the cooperative banking sector as head of the business area at Bcc Forlì, where he subsequently became director general in November 2015. Following the merger with Bcc Ravennate-Imolese-Forlivese, he served as vice director general. As April 2021, Poggioli has been with the parent company, Bcc Iccrea Banca, as head of the central-East Market Territorial Area. Concurrently,he has held various roles,including administrator of Bcc Calabria Ulteriore and tutor at Bcc del Piceno.
