Oscar: It feels surreal, to be honest. Sao Paulo is more than just a club; it’s family. To be back wearing the tricolor jersey again, surrounded by familiar faces and playing in front of passionate fans, it’s a dream come true. It’s like closing the circle on an unbelievable journey.
You had a truly remarkable stint in China with Shanghai Port, winning three league titles. How would you compare the Chinese Super League to the Premier League?
Oscar: Both leagues were incredibly challenging in their own way. The Premier League is incredibly fast-paced and physical, while the Chinese Super League was more tactical and technical. China was a fantastic experience; I learned so much about a diffrent culture and style of play. Now, I’m eager to bring that experience back to brazil and contribute to Sao Paulo’s success.
Speaking of success, you were a key player during Chelsea’s premier League triumphs and even lifted the Europa League trophy. Those must be some cherished memories?
Oscar: Absolutely! Those years at Chelsea were some of the best of my career. To play alongside world-class players and compete at the highest level, it was a privilege.
We can’t forget about your international career with Brazil.You were a key part of the national team, even scoring that remarkable goal against Germany in the 2014 World Cup.
Oscar: Representing Brazil is the highest honor any footballer can achieve. Being part of the World Cup, even though it ended in heartbreak, was an experience I’ll never forget.

Oscar: I aim to help Sao Paulo regain its place among Brazil’s elite. We have a talented squad and a passionate fanbase, and I believe we can achieve great things together. I want to win titles, inspire young players, and ultimately leave a lasting legacy hear.
