Bihar News Desk Lalit Narayan Mithila University’s women’s table tennis team has qualified for the All India Competition for the fourth consecutive year. The LNMV team has achieved this feat by defeating the team of Bardhaman University of West Bengal 3-0 in the qualifying round of the Eastern Region Inter University Table Tennis (Women) competition being held at the Royal Global University, Guwahati, Assam.
There is a wave of happiness in the university department due to the team’s continuous victories. University Sports Officer Prof. Ajay Nath Jha said that the women’s table tennis team is bringing glory to the university by registering continuous victories. Since 2021, this team has been continuously qualifying for the All India Inter University Competition on the basis of its performance in the Eastern Region Inter University Competition. In the last three years, the team has also qualified for Khelo India based on its performance in All India. Maintaining its dominance, the team has again continued its winning streak in Guwahati.
Pro. Jha told that the Eastern Region level competition going on in Guwahati will conclude on 23rd. He told that this time after qualifying the team will now try for better ranking in the eastern region. Vice Chancellor of LNM, Prof. Expressing happiness over the team’s victory, Sanjay Kumar Choudhary said that the women players of the university have brought glory to the university with their performance. The women players of the university have achieved achievements with their skills in every discipline of sports. The Vice Chancellor congratulated all the players, coaches, team managers and officials of the sports department of the women’s table tennis team for their victory and wished them all the best for future competitions. The Registrar and Finance Officer of the University also congratulated the entire team for the victory and said that our daughters are creating new history in sports every day. Congratulating the team for the victory, Deputy Sports Officer Amrit Kumar Jha said that this victory is a matter of pride not only for the university but for the entire Mithila region. Sports Technical Manish Raj also congratulated all the women table tennis players.
