E’ Carlo Del Santo the new manager of BBC Grosseto New Energy for the 2025 season. They officially presented him in the press room “Fabrizio Masini” at the Roberto Jannella stadium, the sporting director Filippo Olivelli and the marketing manager Claudio Banchi. For Del Santo, a Grosseto native, it is a return home, after nine seasons on the San Marino staff. The new leader of the BBC began his career as a coach in Junior Grosseto, winning among other things the Cadetti scudetto in 2007, then becoming coach of Enegan Grosseto Baseball 2016, before being called up to Monte Titano. He is one of the coaches of the Italian senior national team.
THE NEW STAFF. Carlo Del Santo will head a technical staff that includes pitching coach Angel Marquez and coaches Simone Fiorentini, Stefano Turci, Federico Cipriani, Damiano Riccucci and Alessandro Fiorentini.
«In 2016 I accepted the call from San Marino – underlines Carlo Del Santo – because I thought it was the turning point in my career and so it was. Finally, however, I returned home. Grosseto is my home and I would like to bring what I learned in the nine years in San Marino, in terms of organization, structure, knowledge and play. I wanted to return, at all costs. I spoke with the company, which I publicly thank for thinking of me, and we found an agreement in an instant and I’m not talking about the economic aspect, it was the last point we touched on. Before sitting down I wanted guarantees that the BBC had a project, otherwise I would not have accepted having to achieve some objectives immediately.”

Sports director Olivelli explains the project that convinced Del Santo: «It doesn’t just concern the victory for the sake of the scudetto, but it is a project of growth at an organizational and corporate level, of growth in the arrangement of the facilities, of having an organization in training , which allows Del Santo to work well and allows us to feel more serene and calm.”
