Carlos Narváez will move to Fenway Park

The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox would have reached an agreement this Wednesday, which involves Venezuelan pitcher Carlos Narváez and right-handed pitcher, Elmer Rodríguez-Cruz.

The information was released by sports journalist Mark Feinsand on his digital platforms. This exchange would also have a consideration in the fund for international firms.

“The Boston Red Sox acquired C Carlos Narváez from the Yankees in exchange for RHP Elmer Rodríguez-Cruz and space in the international bonus fund,” the sports journalist wrote on his social networks.

The Venezuelan catcher was able to realize his dream of reaching the Big Show with the New Yorkers in 2024. In six games played, he hit three hits, managed to negotiate three walks in 13 at-bats, to leave an average of .231.

His most playing time was in the Bronx’s Triple A affiliate, where he averaged .254, with 85 hits, 20 doubles, 11 home runs, 58 runs batted in, 54 runs scored, and 56 walks negotiated in 96 games played.

For his part, Elmer Rodríguez-Cruz is a prospect for the Boston Red Sox, who was between Class A and Strong Class in 2024. In this campaign, he went 3-4, with a 2.51 ERA in 14 appearances, 13 of them as a starter. His strikeout-to-walk ratio was 73 hits for 25 walks and his Whip was 1.18.
