Ceuta will be, for a week, the center of international tennis with the celebration of the II International Men’s Tennis Tournament “Ciudad de Ceuta Bravoleum”. This event, which will take place from December 8 to 15, is part of the professional circuit of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the World Tennis Tour (WTT), counting towards the ATP world ranking.
Organized by the Ceuta Tennis Federation, in collaboration with local institutions such as the Ceutí Sports Institute (ICD) and the Ceuta Tourist Service, and with the main sponsorship of Bravoleum, the tournament will have a financial prize of $15,000 in prizes .
The championship will be directed by Yasin Harrús, with Noelia Sánchez as deputy director. The referee team, led by international supervisor Poncho Ayala, will guarantee the development of the matches, which will be played in three sets with tie-breaks, using the official Head Tour ball.
The competition table will include 64 players in singles and 32 in doubles, from countries such as Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Brazil, China, India, and others. These athletes will compete for crucial points in their ATP ranking, ensuring a high sporting level at the event.
The tournament will also have a significant impact on the tourism promotion of Ceuta, by attracting players, coaches and companions from various corners of the world. In addition, it will promote tennis among local young people, since the city’s sports schools, including the ICD, will participate in a “stage” with professional players.
The official accommodation will be the Hotel Ulises, and the catering will be provided by Sarao Jardines. The organization has appreciated the support of public institutions and private collaborators, such as Bravoleum, Pinturas Dris and Aguas Lanjarón, among others.
The official presentation of the championship will take place on Monday, December 9 at 12:00 at the Autonomous Palace of Ceuta, in a press conference open to the media. With this tournament, Ceuta is positioned as a benchmark in the international sports calendar, combining sport and tourism promotion in the same event.
