The Lacapelle Judo Club organized a Judo course on Sunday, November 24 for children aged 4 to 12 at the Lacapelle village hall. Like every year, this course was open to young judokas from neighboring clubs. Cahors-Prayssac, Le Montat and Pradines-Luzech responded to the invitation, a total of 60 young people. As usual, teams were formed with a mix of all ages. Some of the teams remained on the tatami mats for judo training. New this “Olympic and Paralympic” year: some “Disabled sports” workshops, such as moving on tatami mats seated without using your legs or doing judo holds with your eyes closed. Meanwhile, the other part of the teams went to the small room near the Lacapelle church to participate in games related to the theme of the day: basketball, pentathlon, archery, tennis table, game of differences between modern Olympics and ancient Olympics, memo on Olympic champions. By mid-morning, the groups switched. Thanks to good weather, an outdoor picnic was an interlude enjoyed by all. In the afternoon, parents were invited to come and support the young judokas during small team competitions (randoris). The presentation of medals as well as a small snack closed the day in a friendly atmosphere. We thank all the volunteers who made this beautiful day run smoothly.
