The Ciao Rudy Tournament in Pesaro proved to be a resounding success for Pallacanestro Recanati’s Under 13 team, who dominated the competition with an remarkable four consecutive victories.Their undefeated streak saw them triumph over Pollenza, Pontevecchio, Magenta, and Matera, securing their place at the top of the podium with a commanding 8 points in the standings. this remarkable achievement further solidifies the impact of the Power Basket Academy,a program that has nurtured the talents of these young athletes,many of whom hail from Montefano.
While the Under 17 team finished in a respectable 8th place, their journey was marked by valuable lessons and growth. After a tough opening loss against Quarrata Agliana (59-64), the team demonstrated resilience by bouncing back with a decisive victory against Picchio Civitanova (49-59). They faced another challenge in the semi-final for 5th-8th place,ultimately falling to Basket Casoratese (79-62). Despite the setback, the team rallied in the final for 7th-8th place, but were unable to overcome Quarrata Agliana once again, losing 75-65.The tournament provided an invaluable learning experience for all participants,fostering teamwork,sportsmanship,and a passion for the game.
