Just before the winter break starts, the second round of the KNVB Cup tournament will be played this week. In this round, the six clubs that qualified for European football last season enter, namely PSV, Feyenoord, FC Twente, AZ, Ajax and Go Ahead Eagles. A total of 32 clubs, including ten active in amateur football, are competing for a place in the eighth finals. In this article you will find the complete program of the second round of the KNVB Cup and all results will also be kept up to date.
The first round, played in the last week of October, produced a number of surprising results. Every year there is a professional club that chokes on an amateur club, this season there were five in the first round. For example, Eredivisie players NAC Breda and Almere City fell at the hands of Barendrecht and Quick Boys respectively. In addition, FC Dordrecht, Roda JC and FC Emmen, all active in the Kitchen Champion Division, proved to be no match for Noordwijk, Rijnsburgse Boys and HFC.
