Controversial play in the NFL where the opposing quarterback’s head was ‘slammed’

Dirty plays in the National Football League (NFL) are causing controversy.

The protagonist of the controversy is Houston Texans linebacker Aziz Al-Shire. He committed a controversial act during an away game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Everbank Stadium on the 2nd (Korean time).

At the end of the first half, Al-Shire was unable to find a place to pass, so he grabbed the ball himself and hit the opposing quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, who was sliding to stop.

It was an unnecessary play that hit the opponent hard, who already had no intention of advancing any further. It also hit the opponent’s head hard.

Lawrence, who received a severe blow to the head, collapsed on the field.

Naturally, Jacksonville players were furious. Tight end Evan Engram was the first to rush in and push him, leading to a scuffle between players from both teams.

Al-Shire and Jacksonville cornerback Jarian Jones were ordered ejected.

Al-Shire got into an argument with Jacksonville guard Brandon Schaff while being ejected, which led to a second fight. As his colleagues tried to stop him, it did not turn into a bigger fight.

In an on-field interview with ‘FOX’ after halftime, Texans coach Demeko Lyons said Al-Shire’s actions “do not represent who we are,” and Jaguars coach Doug Pederson was displeased, calling it a “blatant foul.” revealed.

Fortunately, Lawrence’s condition seemed to have improved enough to allow him to sit on a cart and move around when leaving the court. He was diagnosed with a concussion and missed the remainder of the game, but was reportedly not taken to the hospital.

This is not the first time Al-Shire has caused controversy on the field. In the second week of the game against the Chicago Bears, he punched opposing running back Roshaun Johnson on the sideline. At the time, he was fined $11,817.
