De Ketelaere had a good shot against the second division team

Atalanta is still on course for the double. Cesena, the number 5 in Serie B, was completely made up in Bergamo. Charles De Ketelaere made it 2-0 in the 8th minute, after a nice combination with Retegui. Before half time he also put the 4-0 on the board with a subtle caress.

Shortly after half-time, Gasperini took his goldcrest to the side, because a new match awaits the competition leader on Sunday, at home against Empoli.

Juventus to quarter finals

Can Juventus win the Coppa Italia for the second time in a row? Tonight it already did what it had to do against Cagliari.

The Old Lady, with compatriot Samuel Mbangula in the starting line-up, still got away well in the opening minute thanks to a great save from goalkeeper Di Gregorio. Just before half time, Juve had taken the lead thanks to Vlahovic.

After the break, Koopmeiners fired a free kick against the ropes and Conceiçao and Nico Gonzalez extended the Turin lead to 4-0.

Napoli will not win the cup

Napoli can fully focus on the title fight in Italy, because in the Coppa they were already eliminated in the 1/8th finals. Antonio Conte rested many of his key players, such as Romelu Lukaku. That opened the door for Cyril Ngonge, who was unable to make his mark.

After all, the stamper was in the hands of Tijjani Noslin. The Dutchman scored three times in barely 20 minutes (albeit with half time in between). Lukaku was allowed to replace goalscorer Simeone in the 78th minute, but that did not make any difference. 3-1 was the final score.

Fiorentina counted out

Fiorentina supported midfielder Edoardo Bove before the match, but could have used some support themselves. Fifteen minutes before the end they gave up their lead, meaning the decision had to be taken on penalties. The Florentines missed 2 penalties.

AC Milan pulverizes second division Sassuolo

AC Milan has convincingly managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. Against Sassuolo, Milan already had their sheep on dry land in the first half. AFTER 23 minutes it was already 4-0.

Bologna also managed to qualify for the next round with large numbers. The score was 4-0 against Monza.
