Santiago. – The Coraasan team achieved a tight 59-55 victory over Edenorte, at the start of the semifinal of the Intergovernmental Tournament as an option for the Santiago Governance Cup.
Coraasan’s team stood out for their solid defense, which allowed them to take an early lead and hold firm throughout the match.
With this victory, they are placed in a good position to continue their progress in the series, which will continue this Wednesday, December 4.
Coraasan will look to continue demonstrating his quality on the court and secure a place in the final.
The winners’ offense was led by Roberto Metiebel, who scored 16 points, in addition to 2 assists and 5 rebounds. They were followed by Jeriko Ortiz, with 14 points, 2 assists and 8 rebounds; Danny Santos contributed 9 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds and Noel Estévez contributed 9 points, 1 assist and 1 rebound.
On the part of Edenorte, the best scorers were Marcos Miguel Rodríguez, with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists; Darwin Ulyanof Pérez added 13 points, 1 assist and 2 rebounds; José Ramón Del Rosario, with 10 goals; Edicto Baltazar Pérez, also with 10 points; and Juan Gabriel Puntiel, recorded 6 points, 2 assists and 4 rebounds.
With this victory, Coraasan takes the first step towards the final, but the Edenorte team will not give up easily, which promises an exciting second match, which will be held at Club Banreservas from 8:00 PM
