Marianne Vos: It’s fantastic to see Mathieu back and firing on all cylinders. His zonhoven performance was truly dominant.you could see the hunger in his eyes, the determination to reclaim his championship.

Absolutely! Now, the action shifts to Gavere, where local favorites Vanthourenhout, Aerts, and Iserbyt will be looking to upset Van der Poel on home turf. Do you think home advantage will be a factor?
Marianne Vos: Home advantage can definitely play a role. The Belgian fans are passionate about Cyclo-cross, and the local riders will feel their support. Vanthourenhout, Aerts, and Iserbyt are all world-class riders, capable of pushing Van der Poel to the limit. It’ll be a thrilling race. I expect a close battle.
But, remember, Mathieu thrives in pressure situations. He loves the challenge of racing against the best.

Marianne Vos: I think Vanthourenhout will be the most dangerous. He’s incredibly consistent, technically strong, and he knows the Gavere course like the back of his hand.He’ll be aiming to use his home advantage to the fullest.

Marianne Vos: It’s far from over! Cyclo-cross is so unpredictable. One bad race, a mechanical issue, or even a slight lapse in concentration can change everything.
Van der Poel is definitely in the driver’s seat, but the other contenders won’t make it easy for him. We’re in for a thrilling season, with many twists and turns yet to come.

Marianne Vos: Cyclo-cross is an amazing sport. Go to a race – feel the intensity, the skill, and the grit of the riders. It’s always exciting,no matter your level of understanding.
