With Stephan Goldammer and Simon Pfaab, two long-serving Great Carolinian judokas have taken over the management of the department. On April 5, 2008, both were unanimously elected, replacing Klaus Gallin and Brigitte Gebelein, who had held the office for nine years and since 1994, respectively.
Stephan Goldammer is the first judoka in Großkarolinenfeld. He was already involved in the training operations as a teenager. He has been working as a training manager since 2000. He has been a black belt since November 2003 and passed the 2nd Dan exam on December 2nd, 2006. He confidently achieved his 3rd Dan in 2010. In 2014, Stephan was given the honor of being appointed as a member of the Bavarian Dan Examining Team. In 2022, Stephan achieved 5th Dan, the highest graduation with distinction that can be achieved in German judo through an examination.
Simon Pfaab started judo in 1998 and has been a licensed trainer in the department since 2008. After he achieved the black belt in 2009, the 2nd Dan followed in 2011, the 3rd Dan in 2015 and finally the 4th Dan in 2022.
The two department heads are supported by Ute Spiegler as a cashier. In 2018, she replaced Hanna Dietrich, who had managed the cash register since 2013. Ute is the mother of two very active and successful judokas here at TuS Großkarolinenfeld. In 2021, Maximilian Kasperke decided to give Ute a hand and relieve her of the burden of managing the cash register.
Bettina Hofer and Judith Schirmann have been the department team’s secretaries since 2018. They replaced Simon Heitzer and Philipp Meisinger, who had previously been secretary for five years. Bettina is also the mother of one of the judokas and Judith has been an active member since 2011 and holds the 1st Kyu.
Since 2018, Klaus Gallin has also been responsible for competition operations in our judo department as a competition representative. Klaus is one of the most loyal members of our department and has been an active member since the beginning (January 1994). He was also a department head for several years and holds the 1st Dan. In 2021, Tobias Zoglmeier joined Klaus to help out with competition work. Tobi has been working in the department for many years and has also acted as a training assistant.
