During his playing days, Fraser was active with a powerful service that took advantage of his left-handedness. He has won 19 times in the four major tournaments, including 3 in singles, 11 in men’s doubles, and 5 in mixed doubles.
After retiring as an active player, he became the captain of the Australian national team in the Davis Cup national competition. He served as captain for 23 years from 1970 to 1993, leading Australia to four championships during that time.
Later, in recognition of his great achievements, he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1984 and received the International Tennis Federation’s Philippe Chatrier Award in 2008.
