HOLY SUNDAY. -Tears, emotion, anecdotes, fraternity, call to unity and many life experiences through sport, qualified this Sunday the exaltation of the XIII Ceremonial of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame that was carried out with great brilliance in the Pavilion of Fame of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
After singing the notes of the national anthem and the Hall of Fame, the master of ceremony called the deacon, Elías Camino, who made the invocation to God, in a beautiful message that called everyone to reflect.

The members of the Permanent Committee of the Hall of Fame were immediately called to take their place on the main podium.
Immediately afterwards, Heidi Despradel, contributing member, announced the entry of the flag bearers where tribute was paid to the Paralympic athletes from the Dominican Republic who were in the last Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Dr. Norberto Puello gave the words of welcome to those present and to the Martial Arts family, who gathered for this XIII Ceremonial 2024 where he assured that the choices were made in accordance with the statutes, with great neatness, recognizing the merit of the proposed.
Several sports immortals, businessmen, friends, sports leaders and sports personalities, the president of the Hall of Fame, met.
Immediately, the members of the Permanent Committee received the symbols, the gavel, the shoto and the laurel. The honorary president, Dr. Carlino González, was welcomed, as was the immortal of the sport, Julio Mon Nadal, to whom the 2024 Ceremonial was dedicated.
The event was sponsored by Distribuidora Corripio, the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, as well as Obinsa, engineering works and investments SRL.
The athletes, Dr. Emilio Antonio Jiménez Laucet, Leo Alejandro Marion-Landais Ciriaco, Rhino Richiez and the Little Titans Taekwondo Academy of Hato Mayor, received recognition plaques for their great contributions to the Martial Arts. The different members of the Permanent Committee presented plaques to the inductees and recognitions.
The first to be exalted was the Judo coach, Domingo Asencio, who had his father, Manuel Antonio Gómez, as his aide-de-camp. These works were directed by Noberto Puello and Angel Ramos Brusiloff, president and general secretary of the Hall of Fame. He was given a plaque as an immortal of Martial Arts and on the podium he thanked God, his parents, the Judo Federation and all the people who had to do with his professional and personal development.
Juan Carlos Jacinto, three-time Olympic athlete, was inducted and had his mother, Mélida Jiménez, as his aide-de-camp. Jacinto said that his life is Judo and he thanked the Judo Federation, his armed institution, the Naco club, and his fellow workers for helping them get here.
Robert Gómez (Cibao) from Judo arrived accompanied by his aide Ruddy. M. Contreras. He stated that he is very happy to have reached the Martial Arts Hall of Fame and that he thanks the Federation, his military institution, his coaches, his former teammates on the national team, the immortal Isaac Ogando, in Bayaguana, therefore support.
Alex Fernández, in Jujutsu, was also inducted and had Julio Cordero as his aide-de-camp. He spoke about his history of more than 37 years linked to sport and called to maintain the flame of discipline, dedication and example to the new values.
In Karate, Elvis Antonio Polanco, from Santiago, and Víctor Liriano, from Santo Domingo, were exalted. Polanco had Eduardo A. Hernández as his aide-de-camp and Liriano had Juan Ramón Reyes. Both thanked the Standing Committee for its election.

Then Elvis Soriano followed, who had Manases Soriano as his companion. He thanked his Kung Fu coaches, the Army of the Republic, where he has achieved first place in the Military Games for the last 18 years.
Elías Camaño was the next exalted and arrived accompanied by Odín M. Gómez’s aide-de-camp. “I thank God and everyone who had to do with my growth as an athlete and then as a coach,” he said.
Nasiris Pérez took Evelin Sánchez as aide-de-camp and, finally, the gold medalist in Taekwondo at the Games. Pan American Santo Domingo 2003, Yina María Ruiz, was the last inductee, who was accompanied by Dalton Pérez.
Yina María Ruiz gave thanks on behalf of all those exalted. Plaques were given to Carlino González and Julio Mon Nadal.
The closing was a toast in honor of those exalted and recognized and with, “see you in 2025.”
