From Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon (December 13th – December 15th, 2024) the Middle Franconia district’s final measure for 2024 took place in Erlangen under the leadership of the district trainers MFR Dominik Röder and Tatjana Müller. The course was supported by guests from the BJV under the supervision of trainers Jörg and Maria as well as from the Detmold district, who came with trainers Nikita, Josie and Max. A big thank you also goes to the organizer TV Erlangen for providing the hall.
Formation of the first unit with almost 100 judoka
Led by district trainer Dominik, the course started with a first unit on the subject of special techniques and grip acquisition while standing. Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to directly apply what they had learned in many intensive rounds of Randori. Thanks to guests from the club training in Erlangen, we had a full mat with almost 100 judoka. So many partners for many good rounds!

After a night on the judo mat, Saturday started early with morning exercise under the direction of district coach Tati. In the subsequent judo unit, state coach Zach Burt led through the topics of standing and the transition from standing to ground, also concluding with good Randori rounds. In the afternoon, district trainer Nikita dedicated herself to the Sankaku technical complex in the ground, followed by other excellent Randoris. The final athletic unit, led by state coach Jörg, once again challenged the participants physically. In the evening, a joint visit to the Christmas market in Erlangen rounded off the day – a highlight that provided a lot of fun and a team spirit.
Sunday also started with relaxed morning exercise led by Tati. The first judo unit of the day, also with Tati, served to repeat the content of the entire course before everyone could show off their skills again in the final randoris. In the last unit of the course, Domi led through duel games and rounded off the complex of techniques for picking up the grip in the opposite position.

All in all, the course was a complete success and a worthy end to 2024. The participants were able to develop both technically and athletically and had a lot of fun doing it. We look forward to being able to carry out many great measures together again in 2025.
