Twenty-one sports clubs representing the rich and varied fabric of Rosignano, hundreds of young athletes and sporting talents. They will be the absolute protagonists of the Athlete of the Year Award, 2023 edition, a real party that will be staged on Sunday 8 December (starting at 10am) at the Solvay Theater in Rosignano.
As always, the event is organized by the Sports Agency with the patronage of the Municipal Administration of Rosignano Marittimo and CONI and Badali News as media partner.
Passion and commitment, enthusiasm and sacrifice. Sunday’s initiative will celebrate sport in all its forms and with all its values, offering a ‘photograph’ of everything the area offers: from athletics to gymnastics, but also swimming, football, volleyball, biking, dance and much more. The event will be presented by Massimo Iacoponi. In addition to the 2023 Athlete of the Year, younger athletes who have achieved important sporting results will also be rewarded.
The sports clubs accepted the invitation from the Agency for Sport: Asd Basket Sei Rose, CG Atletica Costa Etrusca, Asd Efesto APS, Asd Gymnastics Rosignano, Asd Tiptoe Libertas, Asd Judo Fujiyama, Libertas gym Azzurra, Asd MasterLab, Asd Volley 6 roses, Gsd Rosignano Solvay 1922, Asd Uisport ‘ 92, Usd Castiglioncello, Avis Ciclismo, Let’s Dance Asd, Circolo Velico Pietrasanta, Inkite, Tiptoe dance school, Asd Taekwon-do, Asd Angel dance, Dragons Academy Asd, Asd sports club Circolo Canottieri.
“Our goal – explains Riccardo Nannetti, president of the Rosignano Sports Agency – is to work as a team, always. To promote sport in all its forms, physical well-being and social aggregation. The latest census shows that there are approximately 12 thousand members of over 80 local sports associations, practically one in three inhabitants in the municipal area is registered with a sports organisation. It is a fabric capable of accommodating all the needs of the area without any ifs or buts”.
And again: “The Athlete of the Year aims to be a moment of pure sports celebration and we believe that today there is a real need for it. We want to celebrate all together the daily work of companies, their value. The recognition obtained by their athletes but also their sacrifices, as well as those of their families. Our role, every day, is to be their support and support. Our door is always open, for everyone”.
