Fabulous Mannion & Mirotic, Milan wins again: Red Star KO!

Olimpia gets the 4th consecutive pink score by beating the Serbs with a superb performance by “Nico & Niko”: the considerations

Olimpia Milano’s good momentum continues with their 4th consecutive success in the Euroleague after defeating Red Star at the Forum 101-83 no sign of the gods Nicolò Mannion (20 points) e Nikola Mirotic (23 points). Mannion scores 11 points in the first half helping Olimpia go to the locker room at 53-42, at the start of the second half the home team escapes at +21 (68-47) without ever giving the Serbs a chance to come back with Mirotic masterful in the second half (14 points out of 23 total)

Olimpia Milano-Stella Rossa Belgrade, the considerations

  • It was a game from MUST WIN and Milan not only won it but also well, these are the victories that increase confidence.
  • As in Istanbul, another masterful 40′ match for the red and whites with “Nico & Niko” to lead the team.
  • Attack continues to improve, defense still suffers in rebounds (14 offensive attacks allowed) but tonight Filip Petrusevwhich came from starring matches, practically nothing.
  • They are Mannion it’s worth writing again: he has the team in hand and HE is the great architect of Milan’s offensive improvements (always the best assist-man of the team). Tonight Do Santos, Teodosic, Miller-McIntyre, all placed behind.
  • Mirotic like in Istanbul if not better: 0 forced shots (8/14 from the field with 7 rebounds), excellent shot selection, always in the right place and always heavy baskets in key moments. The understanding with Mannion is visible.
  • ShieldsI confirm what was written in the latest releases: player serving the team aware that in attack he is not yet 100% for his plays. Also very, very good tonight (8 points), symbol of a team that is growing and consolidating
  • Change Gillespie McCormack is right, Freddie won’t be a top player but he understood his role and his characteristics blend well for this team.
  • Fabien “The Equalizer” Causuer: card stamped tonight too. Indispensable, he doesn’t miss a play and tonight he scores 20 points with 6/6 from 3.
  • Red Star mediocre team: remained in the game only with random bursts of individuals such as Canaan, Davidovac and Dos Santos.
  • Expulsion of Teodosic according to protocol.
