The Lamezia Terme Archery Club recently welcomed a delegation of prominent figures from the Italian Archery Federation (Fitarco) to assess the progress of their new archery range.
Leading the delegation were Fitarco President Mario Scarzella and two National Council members. They were joined by Giovanni Giarmoleo, President of the Calabria Regional Committee, and Antonello Scaiola, President of the Regional Paralympic Committee.
Lamezia Terme Mayor Paolo Mascaro, vice Mayor Antonello Bevilacqua, and Councilors Stella and vaccaro extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The visit focused on inspecting the construction of the state-of-the-art archery facility.
National councilor Vittorio Polidori expressed his admiration for the Lamezia Terme Archery Club, a small Calabrian institution, and their triumphant collaboration with the local municipality to bring this project to fruition. Discussions centered on the future, with the Lamezia Terme archery range slated to host the Regional Championships in July. Moreover, the possibility of hosting a National Paralympic archery event in March or april 2025 was explored. This potential event would showcase the facility’s capabilities and highlight the region’s commitment to inclusive sports.
