On Saturday, Westzaan surprised leader Jong Hercules with a 3-3 draw. The draw could just as well have been a win if it had not been for the fact that the Beverwijk equalizer was scored very far into the long stoppage time.
OFC took full advantage of the Westzaan result by beating Kolping Boys 6-1. Things are not going well around the Hoornseveld. ZVC’22 suffered its third defeat in a row at Egmond.
In the basement of Saturday football, Blauw Wit W had to do everything they could to achieve a hard-fought 2-1 victory after being 0-1 behind. It was certain that Jisp had to win at Kadoelen (10 played, 0 points) and the 1-8 was fine. After two defeats in a row, ZCFC could breathe a sigh of relief with a 2-1 win over Purmerland. Disappointing again Sporting Krommenie (sat) that did not win at Blokkers
For Fortuna Wormerveer, playing on natural grass is becoming a heavy burden. When visiting Meervogels’31, Fortuna Wormerveer suffered a 3-1 defeat. In the same class, KFC was also surprised by Always Forward at the Wezelstraat (1-2), while at LSVV SVA could not achieve more than a 1-1.
In the third division, Sporting Krommenie did well against the highly classified Bloemendaal (3-2 win) and Assendelft took full advantage of this by winning 4-3 against TABA. In Wormer, WSV’30 managed to steal a point from Alliance’22 (1-1) and an attractive draw took place at Hercules Zaandam – Saenden (0-0).
It is certain that Rood Wit Zaanstad is heading for a period title in 4C after the 2-1 win over HOV/DJSCR. Direct attacker RCZ did not get further than 1-1 at TOG. A draw for the Rood Witten will be enough next weekend.
After the announcement of the departure of trainer Manuputty, Zaandijk continues to string together victories. Geel Wit’20 also had no problem (6-0).
