Khargon. For the first time in the history of Nimar, lawyers and judges of four districts will show their mettle not in the court room but in the playground. Actually, for the first time a two-day cricket tournament has been organized by the District Advocates Association of Khargone, Mandleshwar. In this, lawyers, scribes and judges from four districts of Nimar region will come out of the court room and hit fours and sixes in the playground.
Let us tell you that a tennis ball cricket tournament has been organized by District Advocates Association Mandaleshwar. It will start from 28 December 2024 on the grounds of SPIS School located at Choli Road in Mandaleshwar. The tournament will conclude with prize distribution on 29th December. To participate in the tournament, pre-registration is mandatory. The registration process has started.
Teams from four districts will be included
Advocate Kartik Joshi, President of Mandleshwar District Advocates Association, told Local 18 that this is the first time that such an event will be organized on a large scale in Nimar. Teams of lawyers from all the bar associations of four districts of Nimar, Khargone, Barwani, Khandwa and Burhanpur, will participate in this tournament. Apart from this, judges will also take part in the match.
Entry fee will have to be paid to participate
It was further told that it is mandatory for the player participating in the cricket team to be a member of the Bar Association. Juniors and Munshi can also join the team. All the players of the team will have to wear white shirt or T-shirt. In the match, special gifts and trophies will be given to the winner, runner-up, man of the match, best bowler and best player. To participate in the tournament, each team will have to pay an entry fee of Rs 2100. In this they will get food and breakfast arrangements. Advocate Kartik Joshi said that this tournament is being organized for entertainment purposes. Advocates and judges feel mental pressure regarding cases. To reduce this tension a bit, a cricket tournament has been organized. However, last year a one-day cricket tournament was organized at the district level. This time the Bar Associations of the four districts of Nimar have been invited.
