Franck LAURENT, new president of the French Badminton Federation

Club representatives, individual licensees, regional and departmental representatives of the FFBaD were called to vote electronically from Monday December 9 at 9:00 a.m. (Paris time) to Saturday December 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. (Paris time) to compose the executive committee and therefore designate the president of the institution.

At the close of voting, the participation rate recorded was 46.22%, representing 60.15% of the votes. The electoral operations monitoring commission officially proclaimed the results with the victory of the “Ambitions Badminton” list which was the only one to present itself. Franck LAURENT becomes the 8th president since 1979 – date of creation of the federation – and thus succeeds Yohan PENEL who did not wish to stand for re-election.

Franck LAURENT, new president of the FFBaD:

“I would like to express my deep gratitude to all the representatives who supported us during these long months of campaigning. Your trust and commitment were essential to enable us to achieve this objective. I also warmly thank all the members of my team , who will now have the responsibility of steering the French Badminton Federation alongside me.

This campaign was a rich human and collective adventure, offering us the opportunity to meet all the territories, to exchange with you and to enrich our project. Today, we are ready to implement it for the next four years.

Our priority will be to bring the territories together and ease the tensions that have marked recent years. It is with humility, determination and enthusiasm that I commit to serving our sport and all its stakeholders. together, we have great ambitions and the means to achieve them.
