A Look Back at the Meiji Baseball Club’s fuzhong Exchange Meeting
Greetings, baseball enthusiasts! Ugagami here, your frist-year manager, bringing you a recap of our exciting Fuzhong Exchange Meeting held on December 22nd.
The festive spirit of the holiday season was palpable as we welcomed guests to our club.
We kicked off the event with a formal opening ceremony, graced by the presence of Mr. Kunihiko Koyama, a distinguished member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly.
Adding to the occasion, second-year players Utsumi (Koryo), Sakakibara (Hotoku Gakuen), and Mitsuhiro (Riseisha) delivered heartfelt greetings, setting a warm and welcoming tone for the day.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the comprehensive tour of our facilities. Divided into ten groups, our members enthusiastically showcased various areas, including the dormitory, the Shimaoka Memorial Room, and the busts honoring our esteemed first manager, Kozo Utsumi, and former manager, Yoshiro Shimaoka.
Guests were also given a glimpse into our training regimen as we presented the playing field,indoor practice field,and training room.Concurrently, a lively bingo tournament unfolded in the cafeteria, adding an element of fun and competition to the day.
Hosting this exchange meeting was a truly rewarding experience. It allowed us to share our passion for baseball and connect with fellow enthusiasts in a meaningful way.

Meiji University Baseball team Welcomes New Recruits
The Meiji University Baseball team recently hosted a special event for incoming first-year players,offering them an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their state-of-the-art facilities and a chance to connect with current team members.
First-year student Takahashi, hailing from Ogaki Nihon University, enthusiastically showcased the team’s training room, even demonstrating some of his personal workout routines. His infectious energy and dedication clearly resonated with the newcomers.
Katagiri, another first-year player from Meiji University Nakano, took on the role of guide, proudly highlighting the university’s extraordinary facilities. He emphasized Meiji University’s reputation as a top-tier institution, boasting about its extensive resources and unique training opportunities.
The event also featured a fun bingo tournament, adding an element of excitement and amiable competition. Iso, a first-year recruit from Sakushin College, enthusiastically distributed bingo cards, sparking anticipation among the participants.

The Meiji University Baseball team recently organized a lively bingo tournament, followed by an insightful Q&A session, offering fans a unique prospect to connect with the players.
The event featured exciting prizes, including Meiji University merchandise crafted from recycled materials.Second-year player Satoshi Matsumoto showcased his creativity by designing chopsticks and other unique gifts made from repurposed stuffed animals and broken baseball bats, highlighting the team’s commitment to sustainability.Adding to the fun, the team members assisted participants in selecting their desired prizes upon achieving bingo, creating a memorable and interactive experience.
Following the tournament,a Q&A session allowed fans to delve deeper into the lives of the players.
Second-year player Kawarazaki from Kakegawa West shared that the team fielded a wide range of questions, covering topics from daily training routines and game strategies to physical conditioning and even personal anecdotes.
