The “FairPlay gustavo Tolotti” award was established by the National Basketball League to honor the memory of Gustavo Tolotti, a beloved player who graced the courts for numerous Italian teams, including Viola Reggio Calabria, Sebastiani Rieti, Virtus Roma, Roseto, Andrea Costa Imola, and casalpusterlengo.Tolotti, a skilled 2.07-meter winger/center known for his exceptional shot-blocking abilities, represented Italy 22 times on the international stage.His career highlights include participation in the 1990 World Championships in Argentina, a gold medal at the 1991 Mediterranean Games, and a silver medal at the 1994 Goodwill Games. Tragically, Tolotti’s life was cut short by an incurable illness in July 2022.
