As part of the Wednesdays of senior Girondin officers, a moment of sharing and experience in the clubs, the Association Sportive Illacaise (ASI) judo jujitsu welcomed Claude Soubillard (7e dan), Richard le Donne (7e dan), Jean-Christophe Carré (6e dan), and Benoît Laville (6e dan) during the course on December 11 at the Uzzine dojo.
For this special evening, beginner and intermediate students attended the same class, and adults took part in the next session. Thus, the young people were able to benefit from the advice and demonstrations of these athletes and then put the instructions given into practice.
Values, fair play
“The judo culture commission offers the High Rank Wednesdays event to Gironde clubs. On this occasion, at their request, they received us and invited neighboring clubs,” explains Richard Le Donne, vice-president responsible for the judo culture and grades commission.
“The senior officers, in agreement with the host structure, propose an adapted program in the afternoon or evening. The goal is to visit the clubs in order to present to young people what the high ranking is. We want to bring judo in a less formal way and we integrate the values and moral code of this sport of which the senior officers are the guardians. We want to promote among licensees the culture, ethics and tradition linked to the practice of federal disciplines, the principles of the moral code of French judo and fair play. »
The ASI judo jujitsu currently has nearly 110 licensees. Please note, it is still possible to join the club for judo or self-defense jujitsu.
