Jiří Procházka is going into action in a month, on January 18 he will enter the seventh battle in UFC colors. He will face Jamahal Hill in Los Angeles. He is looking forward to the battle with his American rival, with his performance he wants to get closer to another title chance.
In a month, Jiří will use his fists in a sharp fight, he is currently using them on the training field, where he is fine-tuning his form for the UFC 311 tournament in Los Angeles. A fight awaits the thirty-two-year-old Czech with the top three of the light heavyweight division, Procházka himself is in second place. The top of the division is within reach, so it’s no surprise that both actors have a title fight with light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira on their minds.
The Brazilian ruler already had honor with both rivals. He beat Hill once, Procházka twice. Jiří fought with Alex for the first time last November, and he fought him for the second time in June this year.
Before the second fight with the Brazilian, Jiří also talked about moving down a weight, but now he is fully focused on regaining his supremacy in the second heaviest division. “I’ve thought about it a lot, but light heavyweight, that’s my division, I want to stay in it. Maybe I will (go lower). That’s the thing. I’ll go to middleweight, but first I have to get back on the throne of light heavyweight. Maybe it will sound crazy to some people, because there is Alex, who beat me twice, but I still believe. I am ready to make big changes in my life to fulfill this goal,” Procházka believed in The show The Ariel Helwani Show.
The native of Hostěradice adjusted his form for the January fight in Japan, the Czech Republic and Mexico, where he even met Pereira. “Guy,” thought Jiří and continued. “In every part of my training, I was ready for everything. I was ready for joint sparring, training, but he had his own partners and I was also there for my own training. We just met, talked a little, there was mutual respect and all these good things. And it was a good meeting,” recalled the Czech fighter, who, among other things, was worried that he wouldn’t be able to hold back during joint training with Alex. He would go full throttle.
“Yes, that’s true. If I stood in the cage against someone who beat me twice, it would be a big challenge for me (to hold my own),” smiled Jiří, who did not miss the video of Hill provoking him in training in Las Vegas just Pereira.
Hill verbally attacked the Brazilian, he just threw gloves at him, challenged him to practice. However, the American wild boar withdrew, threatening that he would not fight him for free. “What can I say?
