An argument between two neighbors that originally took place over the telephone escalated to such an extent that one of those involved wanted to settle the conflict armed with a baseball bat.
Altena – Two people from Altena had an argument via chat and on the phone on Wednesday. The neighbors’ conflict escalated and developed into a physical confrontation. One of the two opponents even grabbed a baseball bat.
According to the police, the two men who lived on Amselweg argued via chat on their cell phones and then on the phone and insulted each other several times. This continued until one of the two men got too much, grabbed a baseball bat and started a physical altercation.

After the police arrived, both men claimed that the violence came from their counterpart. During the altercation, both men sustained minor injuries from the baseball bat. Both men refused to be treated by emergency services.
The police are now investigating both men for mutual physical harm. The baseball bat was confiscated by officers.
