From December 11th to 12th, 2024, Aoping Middle School successfully held a sports and art festival with the theme of “Five Education Integration Exhibition Style, Building Morality and Building Talents”, providing students with an opportunity to show themselves and challenge themselves. The platform also brings a stream of warmth to the cold winter days.
Accompanied by the athletes’ march, the national flag team, school flag team, emblem team, and colorful flag team led the square teams of each class and the Heishui County Middle School square team into the stadium slowly, kicking off the 58th track and field games of the school.
After the solemn flag-raising ceremony, Wang Congbi, deputy secretary of the school’s party branch and principal, delivered a passionate opening speech. He extended a warm welcome to the leaders and guests present and wished the conference a complete success. The referee representative, Mr. Su Hang, and the athlete representative, Yang Wancheng, took oaths respectively, promising to play fair and abide by the rules. The school’s judo team and martial arts team gave wonderful performances respectively, winning rounds of applause from the audience. Finally, Zhu Guangrong, Secretary of the Party Branch of the school, announced the official opening of the sports meeting, and Vice Principal Zhou Jun emphasized the discipline and precautions during the sports meeting to ensure that the competition is conducted safely and orderly. The chief referee, Mr. Mei Youbin, announced the competition arrangements, and various events began in full swing.
On the field, the athletes competed bravely, chasing after each other; outside the field, the cheering cheers of the cheerleaders continued one after another, and the entire campus was immersed in a joyful and tense atmosphere of competition.
At the same time, the school also launched fun sports for teachers. The fun activities allowed the teachers to put aside their usual seriousness, experience fun in sports, enhance friendship, and fill the entire basketball hall with laughter.
Sweat paints the youth, and dances the art to reveal the grace. After a day and a half of fierce competition, all competition events of the sports meeting were successfully completed. At 14:00 on the afternoon of the 12th, the Aoping Middle School Sports and Art Festival kicked off. 27 carefully rehearsed programs were staged one after another, presenting a wonderful audio-visual feast to the audience.
The melodious singing is intoxicating; the passionate dance is eye-catching; the witty skit is hilarious; the emotional and sincere stage play is exciting; the cool and beautiful catwalk is eye-catching; the ensemble of traditional and modern musical instruments , wonderful and harmonious… It highlights the high-spirited youth of Ao Middle School students and bursts out the power of bravery and confidence.
Four music teachers from Aoping Middle School also performed a song “Pilot” for the entire audience. The singing is shocking, the melody is full of power, and it reveals a passionate and profound emotion. Subsequently, the dance “Alajji” brought by Blackwater Middle School pushed the atmosphere to a climax. The Tibetan dance dances gracefully, like the wind on the plateau, free and unrestrained; and like the most gorgeous flowers on the plateau, blooming with the wisdom of the Tibetan people. Finally, the dance team of Aoping Middle School presented the dance “Youth Blooms” which won the first prize at the Sichuan Primary and Secondary School Art Festival. They gently express their respect and gratitude with their elegant and solemn dance movements. Although this performance is over, what remains is endless thoughts and emotions.
During the cultural performance, the signing ceremony for Aoping Middle School in Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province to assist Heishui County Middle School in building a school with arts and sports characteristics, and the award ceremony for the school’s 2024 football, basketball, and volleyball class leagues were also held.
The successful holding of the first sports and art festival of Aoping Middle School allowed us to witness the passion and power of sports and feel the charm and warmth of art. Every wonderful moment embodies the hard work and sweat of teachers and students, and also records everyone’s laughter and growth. Although the Sports and Arts Festival has come to an end, our love for sports and art will never stop. We will go hand in hand and continue to carry forward the concept of “integration of morality and art, promotion of competition” in the days to come, and jointly write a more brilliant chapter in the characteristic development of arts and sports in Aoping Middle School!
