Christmas Cup 2024: a triumph of passion
The Christmas Cup turned out to be a success unprecedented: the event, which took place at the PalaBandinelli in Velletri (RM), saw the participation of over 900 boys and girlsan absolute record that exceeded all expectations. The competition was open to all children aged 3 to 11 and also included Parakarate for all ages, confirming the commitment to real and tangible inclusivity. This extraordinary turnout is not just an indicator of growing popularity of karate among the youngest, but also a reflection of the importance of promote sport as a means of integration and personal growth.
The Sports Hall, packed with family members, was the setting for a memorable day. The young people demonstrated talent, discipline and a contagious passion for karate: he was an example of dedication and team spirit, values that karate instills from an early age. The Christmas Cup also highlighted the Valore del Parakarateallowing athletes with disabilities to compete and shine on the tatami. Their performances moved and inspired everyone present, demonstrating that true strength lies in overcoming one’s limitations and facing challenges with courage and determination.
The event concluded with the children receiving medals and sweets at the end of each meeting, bringing smiles and joy to all participants. This edition of the Christmas Cup will remain in the memory not only for the record numbers, but for celebrating sport as a tool for union and inclusiveness.
