Dwayne collins: Coach always emphasized the importance of fundamentals, of mastering the basics. He believed in playing smart, disciplined basketball, and he had this incredible ability to get the best out of each player. More importantly, he taught us about accountability, respect, and teamwork. Those lessons extended far beyond the court. They’ve shaped me as a person and a coach.

This team is still finding its identity, adjusting to Coach Courtney’s leadership style.It won’t be easy, but Coach Courtney has the experience and the passion to guide them.

Dwayne Collins: It’s a bittersweet moment, no doubt. Jim Larrañaga leaves behind an incredible legacy. But I am optimistic. Miami has built a strong foundation, a winning culture.
