Jorge Mendes Discusses Cristiano Ronaldo’s Future and Juventus Potential for António Silva

Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes praised Cristiano Ronaldo, despite no longer representing the Al Nassr striker.

«Cristiano continues to score goals after goals, breaking records after records and enjoying what he does so well. It’s not the first time I’ve said this, nor will it be the last: for me, he will always be the best player of all time in the history of football”, said the Portuguese businessman, speaking to Tuttosport.

Jorge Mendes also stressed that young people should look to Ronaldo’s example, namely Golden Boy Lamine Yamal. «I don’t like to make comparisons, but without a doubt Cristiano is a good example to be followed, not only for Lamine, but for all young people. If you follow his example on and off the field, you will certainly be at the top of world football in the next 20 years. Lamine is an incredibly talented player and is only 17 years old. If he doesn’t get distracted and stays focused at all times, I have no doubt he will win the Ballon d’Or, not once, but several times.’

The Portuguese businessman discussed the possibility of António Silva leaving Benfica and going to Juventus. «Juventus remains one of the best clubs in Europe, but the future belongs to God. (…) He is a young player, with a lot of quality, world class. He has already proven his worth and that is why, even last year, some of the best European clubs wanted to sign him.’

Jorge Mendes also spoke about Francisco Conceição, a winger who, in the agent’s opinion, can “play for any team in the world”.

«And it’s much more than you think. Francisco is very happy to play for Juventus, which has always been his desire. He is very happy,” he said, before talking about Sérgio Conceição’s future.

«It’s a matter of time, because he is a phenomenal coach. He is a coach destined to be in any team in the world, just as he is a serious candidate to win the Champions League with a big club or European and World Cups with national teams», he concluded.
