Juan Soto, the most sought-after free agent in major league baseball, will soon take the step of tossing teams aside in his quest to find a new home.
This is what his agent, Scott Boras, said in an interview with The Athletic.

“We have had meetings with several franchises. He has started the process of eliminating teams and is moving forward with things. Juan is a very methodical thinker, so we’ll see, but I don’t think anything is imminent,” the representative said.
It appears the teams in the running are the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers.
According to journalist Ken Rosenthal, Soto has several offers for contracts totaling more than $600 million on the table. It also seems that the star player will make a choice before or during the winter meetings in major baseball. These begin on Sunday.
Soto played last season in a Yankees uniform, after wearing the colors of the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres. The power hitter had his best career campaign with 128 hits, including 41 home runs.
