WOWOW has decided to stream the “Kei Nishikori Appearance! WOWOW Tennis Fan Meeting” to be held from 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 7th live on WOWOW’s official YouTube channel.
Kei Nishikori himself and Satoshi Iwabuchi, who accompanied Nishikori on tour as a coach, supported Nishikori’s revival this season, and is also active as a commentator on WOWOW, will also be on stage at the fan meeting.
Nishikori returned to the tour in March of this year at the ATP Tour Masters 1000 Miami. He played in a Grand Slam for the first time in three years at the French Open, which started at the end of May, and won his Grand Slam comeback match with a stunning victory. Furthermore, he advanced to the top eight at the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis in September, which was his first appearance in about six years, won the title at the ATP Challenger Helsinki in November for the first time in one year and five months, and won the ATP Awards 2024. He has completed a successful season, being nominated as “COME BACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR.”
At the fan meeting, Nishikori and Mr. Iwabuchi will look back on this season and talk about behind-the-scenes stories that can only be heard here, as well as the outlook for next season.
There is also a special corner where Nishikori himself provides commentary on the games he played this season, making this an event that fans are drooling over.
