LE CREUSOT: The judokas win the Saône-et-Loire championships!
Judo Creusot once again shone during the last departmental championships, demonstrating its excellence and its ability to train young talents. The Creuset judokas have indeed monopolized the podiums in all categories, offering a high-level show and filling their coaches, Johnny Potet and Arthur Repiquet, with pride. With a total of 60 judokas entered, the club achieved no less than 30 podiums and 40 qualified for the rest of the championships, a remarkable performance which testifies to the hard work of the athletes and their coaches. Among the juniors, it was Assia Soumati who shone the most by winning the title of champion of Saône-et-Loire. She was closely followed by Hedi Miladi, Judith Boussageon, Maël Brelier and Gabriel François, who all won the silver medal. Other Creusotin judokas also distinguished themselves, such as Alessio Dury Boi, Ahmed Bennoura and Lana Afonso, all three of whom won the bronze medal. Quentin Saidou, Giulian Belharet found themselves at the foot of the podium, Yacine Bennoura, Arthur Telmar, Youcef Boubekeur, Noam Clerc and Thomas Quintaux finished 7th and Armen Moucherian and Kylian Cordelier found themselves unclassified in their category.

The youngest confirm

The youngest children were not left out. Louiza Larabi, Adam Miladi, Adam Ziram and Wassim Soumati carried the club’s colors high by becoming departmental champions. Muhammed Yigit Agdas and Ria Afonso, for their part, obtained the silver medal. Many other junior judokas also shone, thus confirming the dynamism of this age category within the club. Giovane Battaglia, Andrea Battaglia, Lison Boussageon, Asma Benhassaine, Camélia Beni Remour, Soren Guerin finished on the 3rd step of the podium, Constant Hivert, Sacha Caillet, Thylio Midoux Caubet finished 5th, Sarah Soumati, Lylou Cherchi, Arthur Airapetyan ranked 7th in their category. Victor Guigue, Julie Magnin, Moïse Bertrand, Sofiane Lefranc, Jibril Guilouchi and Georges Guigue unfortunately did not manage to rank.

The cadets dominate

Among the cadets, it’s a real raid for the Judo Club Creusotin. Anaïs Lion, Mélodie Nunus, Andréa Seddiki, Mathis Saidou and Ewen Costa Redol were all crowned Saône-et-Loire champions. Adil Boubekeur, Mouhammed Benyoucef, Enzo Saidou and Jenny Renna won the silver medal. Iliane Seddiki, Éléana Sergi end up with the bronze medal. Mickaël Nectoux and Naël Frejus finished 5th, Nathan Lion, Anwar Sabri and François Ndem Bilounga ranked 7th. As for Grégory Sorret, Tyson Amidieu and Alban Boussageon, they failed to rank.

Grand Prix Chicks

Sunday afternoon, the Saint-Marcel dojo vibrated to the rhythms of the fierce fights of the youngest judokas.
The results of this competition:
Gold medals: Sergey Ayrapetian, Rémi Mollier, Elias Ziram, Ishak Benyoucef, Paul Gabon and Mathias Mourgues Pulgar.
Silver medal: Ellis Ferrari
Bronze medals: Emma Elia Busseret, Elio Berthaud and Aidan Miladi
All these young athletes put up remarkable fights, bringing honor to their club and their discipline. Congratulations to all these budding champions! Their performance is a great promise for the future of judo. The next generation is assured, and we can’t wait to follow their next adventures on the tatami mats.

Young Cadet Referee Cup

Three young people officiated as referees on the Mini Cup 71. They all three finished on the podium of the Young Referee’s Cup, Alban Boussageon with a nice gold medal, Mouhammed Benyoucef on the second step and Ewen Costa Redol in third place. Thanks also to Emma Valente civic service for the help over this weekend as well as to Nathan Lion, Anaïs Lion, Vincent Lion and Mickaël Nectoux who officiated as sports commissioners and referee on Sunday afternoon.
In parallel with the departmental competitions, Arthur Repiquet and Mathéo Noirbusson represented the club during the University Conference Championship in Béthune. Mathéo reached the semi-final and finished in a promising 5th place, while Arthur took a good 2nd place, thus demonstrating a return to form after a long injury. These exceptional results are the result of hard work on the part of the judokas and their coaches. They also testify to the quality of the teaching provided within the club. With so much young talent, the future of Judo Club Creusotin looks very promising.
